Project Description
The proposed project is development of a novel carrier system for human donor corneas. The goal is to increase the longevity and functionality of corneal endothelial cells. The candidate will be involved in developing a novel transport system for the cornea, isolating the corneal endothelial cells, culturing them and characterizing them using various molecular biology techniques.
Role Description
JRF will be involved in, performing live dead assays and using this tissue in animal models.
Location: On site at Hyderabad University of Hyderabad and Sarojini Devi Eye Bank
Qualifications
A prior research experience in ophthalmology and /or cell culture protocols is preferred.
