International virtual Workshop on Molecular Phylogenetics: From  Theory to Advance Applications | 17th to 18th Feb 2024

Quaxon Bio & IT Solutions India is going to organize its 24th  international virtual workshop on “Molecular Phylogenetics: From  Basic to Advance Applications Applications”

Platform : Virtual  platform

Schedule Date and Time: 7 to 9.30 PM, 17th and 18th Feb 2024(meeting link given by 6.30 PM)

Eligibility

Faculty, students, research scholars from all biological and related discipline (Biotechnology, pharmaceutical science, microbiology, bioinformatics and other allied areas) .Participants to use their own computer/laptop preferably with windows operating system

Requirement: Must have basic computer operation skills preferably in windows.

About the Topic

Molecular Phylogeny is a branch of taxonomy which predicts the ancestral relationship /evolutionary history of a group of organisms by comparing & analysing their biological macromolecules .i.e. DNA, RNA and Proteins.

The Molecular Phylogenetics not only became an indispensable tools to deduce evolutionary relationship among organisms but also it has wide range of application in various field of science such as: Applied Forensic, in identifying origin of epidemic diseases and insight about evolution of protein structure and functions, origin and migration of various life form around the world. Molecular Phylogenetics usually involves rigorous analysis of Biological macro-molecules by various bioinformatics algorithm to deduce meaningful scientific insight, ultimately help us to develop new hypothesis about origin of evolution.

In these 2 day/5 hours of session the participants will learn about the all theoretical concept of Molecular Phylogenetics as well as practical steps of analysis using various tools/software of basic and Bayesian Phylogenetics.

Training Outlines

At the end of the workshop you will be able to know

Understand the fundamental concept of phylogenetic analysis
How to choose the right sequence for phylogenetic analysis.
How to choose the right method to construct phylogenetic tree.
Estimation of time of divergence and Molecular clock calibration
Concept of Bayesian Phylogenetics and use of  related tools.
Accessing reliability of phylogenetic tree
