A Walk-in-Interview will be held at 10.00 a.m. on 11/03/2024 for the temporary position of one Project Associate-I in the
DBT sponsored research project entitled “Bioinformatics and computational Biology Centre for Microbial Biodiversity in
Assam and Arunachal Pradesh” under the Principal Investigator Prof. Suvendra Kumar Ray, Department of Molecular Biology
and Biotechnology, Tezpur University.
Qualification: Master’s degree in engineering/science disciplines with specialization in Computational
Biology/Bioinformatics/Biosciences/Molecular Biology & Biotechnology/other related subject having NET/GATE of
equivalent qualification.
Desirable: Candidates with PhD degree and having experience in computational analysis of genome sequences or similar
research.
Responsibility: candidate joining in the project is required to manage day to day activities under the project along with
organizing workshop and training programs twice in a year.
Fellowship: ₹ 31,000/- (Rupees thirty one thousand) only + 8% HRA as admissible per month.
Duration: Up to 11/09/2028 or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.
Age: Candidates shall not be more than 35 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per the
Government of India Rules.
Interested candidates may appear before the interview board on 11/03/2024 (at 10.00 am) at the office of the Head, Department
of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Tezpur University with original and self-attested photocopies of mark sheets,
certificates from 10th standard onwards, certificate of NET/GATE or similar examination qualifications, caste certificate (if
applicable), experience certificate, any other testimonials, application in prescribed format (Annexure-I) and a copy of recent
signed Curriculum Vitae (CV).
N.B. (1) No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer / Ph.D.
