Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (on contract) in a research project titled
“Cost Effective Biohydrogen Production and Carbon dots synthesis from co-cultivated microalgae biomass in
reverse osmosis reject” in reference to the sanction letter letter for file number EEQ//2023/000530
datedFebruary 21, 2024, by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Department of Science &
Technology, New Delhi – 110016.

Name of Position: Junior Research Fellow
Essential Qualifications:
1. MSc in Life Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Molecular biology/ Biotechnology and other
relevant disciplines and MUST have secured at least 65% cumulatively or equivalent CGPI in the
qualifying degree. A 5% relaxation shall be applicable for SC/ST/PWD candidates
2. Candidates MUST have GATE Score/UGC/ CSIR NET or JRF certificate
Desirable Skills: The applicant may be preferred if she/he has knowledge of algae culturing, identification and
basic microbiological techniques.
Fellowship: 31,000/- PM (fixed) for two years and 35,000/-PM (fixed) for the third year +8% HRA
Note: Candidate selected for this position may also apply for the regular Ph. D program in the Department of
Microbiology, provided he/ she satisfies the eligibility criterion followed by the selection process laid down by
the University.
