High Yielding Seeds | IARI Delhi Project Walk INs

Eligible candidates are invited to attend the walk-in interview for engagement of following vacancies under the externally funded projects mentioned below. The position is unreserved, purely temporary, and co-terminus with the project. Candidates are required to bring the duly filled and signed application form along with original copies of educational and other relevant documents, and one set of self-attested photocopies for verification at the time of interview. The walk-in interview will be held on 02.09.2026 at 10:30 AM for the posts of S. No. 1 to 3; and 03.09.2026 at 10:00 AM for the posts of S. No. 4 to 6; at Division of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi. 

1. Project Associate-I: 1 post 

ANRF funded project on “Genetic variability, molecular characterization and development of molecular markers specific to genes governing Maydis Leaf Blight (MLB) resistance in maize” (IARI Project code 28-50) 

₹37,000 + HRA/month for candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIRUGC NET including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship) or GATE or national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/Agencies/In stitutions; ₹30,000 + HRA/month for others. 

Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences with specialization in Genetics /Plant Breeding/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Biotechnology/ allied disciplines of Life Sciences from a recognized University or equivalent. 

Research experience in maize genetics, breeding and application of molecular markers. 

2. Senior Research Fellow: 2 posts 

Coordinating Cell, Central Sector Scheme on National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (Project Code: 12-289A) 

₹37,000 + HRA/month for 1st and 2nd year; ₹42,000 + HRA/month for 3rd year, as applicable under ICAR norms. 

Master’s degree in Genetics /Plant Breeding/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Seed Science & Technology /Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ allied disciplines of Life Sciences, with 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences with 3 years’ Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ Master’s degree must have NET qualification and 2 years of research experience as prescribed under ICAR guidelines. 

Experience in crop genetics and breeding, field/ lab experimentations, data analysis, documentation, compilation of reports 

3. Young Professional-II: 2 posts 

Coordinating Cell, Central Sector Scheme on National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (Project Code: 12-289A) ₹42,000/month (fixed); no HRA. 

Postgraduate degree in Genetics /Plant Breeding/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Seed Science & Technology/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Agronomy/ Horticulture/ Agricultural Extension/ Agricultural Economics/ allied disciplines of Life Sciences 

Experience in field/ lab experimentations, data analysis, documentation, compilation of reports 

4. Young Professional-I: 2 posts 

Coordinating Cell, Central Sector Scheme on National Mission on High Yielding Seeds (Project Code: 12-289A) ₹30,000/month (fixed); no HRA. 

Graduate degree in Agriculture/ Sciences/ Engineering/ Arts Experience in field/ lab experimentations, data analysis, documentation, compilation of reports
