Applications are invited for the Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in the Science and Engineering Board (SERB) sponsored project entitled “Elucidating the dynamics of photosynthesis and cell wall remodeling in E. salsugineum, an extremophilic plant during abiotic stress and subsequent recovery phases for crop improvement in the scenario of climate change” from qualified candidates. Candidates interested are requested to send their complete Curriculum Vitae to the Principal Investigator and Co-Principal investigator before 24th March 2024. Rs. 31,000 + HRA (For the first two years) Rs. 35,000 + HRA (For the third year)

Three Years 

Master of Science in Plant Sciences/Botany/Biotechnology/ Life Sciences or any other related fields 

Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in plant photosynthesis/Plant Molecular Biology/Cell wall analysis/Plant Biochemistry 

Preference: Research experience in plant photosynthesis/plant cell wall analysis is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates who have cleared NET/GATE or equivalent examination. 

The candidate selected for this position may apply for the regular Ph.D. program upon satisfying the eligible criteria set for the Ph.D. program by the Central University of Tamil Nadu. 

The student will also get an opportunity to work both at BITS-Pilani, Pilani, and Central University of Tamil Nadu 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS 

1. The appointment to be made is purely temporary for a period of ONE year but extendable if work is found satisfactory on year-to-year basis for a period not exceeding three years. There is no right for claiming for any regular appointment in university upon project completion.
