Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for a JRF in the research project “Cerebellar ataxia (CANVAS) associated AAGGG repeats in RFC1 gene leading to proteinopathy

The main objective of this project is to explore the role of repeat RNA sequences in CANVAS disease and will utilize molecular and structural aspects of the RNA to identify lead molecules for the drug discovery research. 

Eligibility: M.Sc. First Division in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry with valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR/DBT fellowship. Please note that you should have defended your M.Sc. dissertation. 

Diserable: Candidate having previous experience in working in the area of neurobiology, imaging, molecular biology, crystallography, drug screening would be preffered.

Monthly Stipend: As per norms (i.e. about Rs. 31,000 + 16% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not provided))

Duration: Initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to a maximum of three years solely based on the performance.
