RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION 

1. BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an Institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council, Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into products to improve human health. 

2. BRIC-THSTI has built several inter-institutional collaborations and connectivity with industry supported by well-trained teams of research and laboratory staff. THSTI has established various centres namely (a) Centre for Maternal and Child Health, (b) Centre for Viral Therapeutics and Vaccines (c) Centre for Tuberculosis Research (d) Centre for Microbial Research, (e) Centre for Immunobiology and Immunotherapy (f) Centre for Drug Discovery (g) Clinical Development Services Agency (h) Computational and Mathematical Biology Centre (i) Centre for Bio-design and Diagnostics. These centres are strengthened by many core facilities viz. Bioassay Laboratory, Biorepository, Biosafety Level -3 Lab, Data Management Centre, Immunology Core laboratory, Multi-OMICS facility, Experimental Animal Facility, Vaccine design and Development facility, School of Innvoation in Biodesign etc that serve as huge resources for the research programmes of THSTI and also the National Capital Region Biotech Science Cluster and other academic and industrial partners. 

3. This recruitment is to fill up the vacancy of BRIC-THSTI under the following project: 

Project : Translational Research Program 

1. Research Scientist One post 

Rs. 1,00,000/- 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience MD or M.Tech or equivalent or Ph.D. or corresponding degree in any area of Medical Sciences/ Life Sciences/ Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university with at least one year of post-qualification research experience in omics- based clinical research.

Desirable Qualification & Experience/Job Responsibilities  

Experience in: 

 Utilization of metabolomics and lipidomics approaches in the area of maternal and child health. 

 Knowledge on metabolite/lipid sample preparation protocols from tissue and bodily fluid 

 Analyzing and interpreting the data acquired on LCMS platform. 

 Sound knowledge of data processing software/packages on R/Python and its related database concepts for integration of multiomics data, especially for proteomics and metabolomics. 

 Omics data analysis, building metabolite library, and the use of multivariate data analysis in biomarker discovery is a must.

2. Junior Research Scientist 

Rs. 85,000/- 35 years 

M.Tech or equivalent or Ph.D or corresponding degree in area of Pharmaceutical chemistry or computational chemistry or computeraided drug designing from a recognized university. 

 Maintenance of computational resources and infrastructure. 

 Responsible to support the drug discovery projects: o Experience in conventional MD, Accelerated molecular dynamics (MD) simulation such as steered MD, Metadynamics and umbrella sampling etc. 

o Computational chemistry, FEP+ o Establishment of target specific chemical databases. 

o Virtual Screening (docking, pharmacophore modeling) 

o Structure- and ligand-based drug design. 

o Structural analysis and interaction finger printing 

o Understanding of chemistry and biological systems. 

o Knowledge of different free energy methods such as MMGBSA, MM-PBSA and LIE. 

 Communicate with project team: o Interact with other field experts in the project to establish the informational pipeline between experimental methodologies and computational-biophysics and -chemistry strategies. 

 Training of computational chemistry and CADD tools to the students.
