Advertisement for JRF Position (01/RBA/ICMR/2024 dt. 02/05/2024) 

Applications are invited for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position available in the Department of Genetic Engineering, School of Biotechnology, Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai to work in the ICMR sponsored Research Project (Ref: No: AMR/Adhoc/286/2022-ECD-II dated 01.08.2022). 

1. Project Title : Predatory Bdellovibrio as an alternative to combat antimicrobial resistance: genome mining for novel bacteriolytic enzymes and their potential exploitation 

2. Position : JRF (01) 

3. Duration : One year and 3 months 

4. Fellowship : As per ICMR & University norms (For NET/GATE candidates Rs. 31,000 +HRA p.m; For Non-NET candidates Rs. 25,000 p.m 

5. Age Limit : 28 years 

6. Qualification : M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/ Life Sciences & M.Tech in Biotechnology with at least 55% marks 


Desirable qualifications: 

CSIR/UGC/DBT/GATE/ICMR or any Equivalent National Eligibility Test qualification is highly desirable. 
Working experience in Recombinant DNA Technology, Genomics and Bioinformatics is essential. 

Last date for the receipt of applications: On or before 20 st May 2024.
