Recruitment of Project Assistant and Student Internship at Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Kolkata in DBT funded Ramalingaswami Fellowship Project on early diagnosis marker in gastric cancer (BT/RLF/Re-entry/38/2022)
The project is proposed to develop non-invasive, robust exosomal RNA and protein signature for early diagnosis/therapy prediction biomarkers for gastrointestinal cancer. Successful candidates will be exposed to molecular biology, cell culture, bioinformatics analysis, next generation sequencing and proteomics.

(1) Project Assistant – (1 No.)
Minimum Qualification:
Essential: M.Sc./ M.Tech./ M.E. in any branch of Biological Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology with 60% marks or equivalent grade from UGC-recognized University.
Desirable: Experience in Cancer genomics, Biomarker research, Molecular Biology, Basic bioinformatics analysis.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 35 years on the last date of application.
Stipend and other allowances: Rs. 8,000/- p.m. consolidated.
Minimum Qualification:
Essential: Students who have completed or are currently studying in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of B.Sc./ B.Tech. /B.Sc. with research (or equivalent program) in any branch of Biological Sciences/ Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology or equivalent grade from UGC-recognized University, at time of application are encouraged to apply.
Desirable: Experience in Biomarker research, Molecular Biology, Basic Cell culture techniques, Bioinformatics analysis, Next generation sequence analysis.
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 25 years on the last date of application.
Stipend and other allowances: Rs. 2,000/- p.m. consolidated.
Fellowship Duration:
The position is temporary and is currently available for one year for the Project Assistant and six months for the Student Internship, which will be extended on a yearly basis on the recommendation of PI for a maximum period of two years or till the duration of the project, whichever is earlier.
