Applications are invited only from Indian citizens for the following purely project based temporary positions. The candidate with adequate qualification may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 31.07.2025 at 10.00 A.M. onwards. Candidates appearing for the Walk-In-Interview must bring all original copies (1set xerox copy) of certificate, testimonial, experience certificate etc, along with an application. Desirous candidate who wants to appear for interview in online/virtual mode must send an advance copy of the application in the prescribed format with all supporting documents (i.e. educational qualification, experience etc.) to the undersigned by email (recruitment-project@gbpihed.nic.in) on or before 25.07.2025. Project entitled- “Mainstreaming cash-generating potential of underutilized crops to enhance food, nutritional and livelihood security in face of changing climate in vibrant villages of Kumaun Himalayas” 

Junior Project Fellow (JPF) @ Rs. 24,000/- PM (as per rules) (02 Position) 

Age limit: 28 Years* 

Master degree in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Agriculture/ and other relevant subjects 

(i) Preference will be given to the candidates having research experience in laboratory work (Biochemical), field experimentation and data collection. 
(ii) Willingness to travel in the tough terrains of Himalaya. 
(iii) Good communication and presentation skills Assist PIs in field sample and data collection, maintenance of accessions, field experimentation, data collection, Biochemical estimation, food testing, and analysis of soil, report writing, and any other scientific/technical work that may be assigned. 

Field Worker @ 9,000/PM (02 Position) 

Age limit: 40 Years* (for field posting at Dharchula block) Intermediate (10+2) passed in Science or other relevant subjects. 

(i) Preference will be given to candidates with experience of living in the challenging terrains of the Himalayas and conducting fieldwork on agricultural farms in highaltitude areas of Uttarakhand. 
(ii) Willingness to stay and travel in the difficult terrains of the Himalayas is essential. Assist PIs and research fellows in field sampling and data collection, maintenance of accessions, field experimentation, data collection, and organize field training any other scientific/technical work that may be assigned. 

Project entitled - "Sustainable Utilization of Invasive Plant Biomass for Bioactive Component Recovery and Biochar Generation: A Unique Solution for Improving Rural Livelihoods in Uttarakhand". 

Junior Project Fellow (JPF) 

Master degree Biotechnology/ Biochemistry

(i) Preference will be given to the candidates having research experience in laboratory work (Biochemical), field experimentation and data collection.
(ii) Good communication and presentation skills.

Assist PIs in field sample and data collection, lab and field experimentation, data collection. Biochemical estimation and soil analysis, report writing, and any otherscientific/technical work that may be assigned.
