Title of the Project/scheme: “NCBS/BMGF: Environmental Surveillance and Early Warning System for Animal Pathogen Surveillance” [PI: Dr. Manjunatha Reddy G.B, Senior Scientist] 

1. Senior Project Associate (One position) 

Master's Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / or bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent with Four years' experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services (OR) 
Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma /MD /MS/ MVSc from a recognized University or equivalent Experience cell culture, virus isolation, environmental sample collection, processing of samples for virus detection, gene/genome sequencing and analysis using bioinformatic tools etc., 

Rs. 42,000/- per Month + HRA

2. Young Professional-I (One Position) 

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Agriculture, in event of non-availability, Master of Sciences (M.Sc) in Life Sciences (Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology ) etc 

Working experience in data management and data processing and molecular biology laboratory techniques. With 1-2 Years working experience is preferred.

B.Sc./ Graduation passed in biological science/ Biology related subjects or any relevant subject. 

Candidates with experience in assisting the project implementation with computer knowledge will be preferred

Postgraduate in Life Science (Entomology/Zoology/ /Life sciences or its equivalent) OR Veterinary Parasitology/ Pathology / Veterinary Microbiology

Post Graduate in Candidate who has hands on experience in vector collection, identification etc., with a knowledge on bioinformatic tools are preferred

Rs.31,000 + HRA for candidate (i) NET or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. Rs.25,000+HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Candidates with experience in morphological and molecular taxonomy of Culicoides, Stomoxys, Mosquito, ticks etc will be preferred. 

Experience in molecular techniques and serological and virological techniques including cell culture working experience.

6. Senior Research Fellow (Two Positions) 

Master degree in Veterinary Pathology/Microbiology/Virology/Biotechn ology/ Life Science with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s Degree. OR 
Master’s degree in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics / Life Science with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualifications 

Virological, Immunological and Molecular techniques such as handling of biosafety/risk pathogens, immune-assays, genomics etc. Vector collection and identification including processing for detection of pathogens. Data management, mapping, disease modelling, risk analysis etc., 

Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA for 1 st and 2nd year & Rs. 42,000/- per month + HRA for 3 rd year 35 Years for Men and 40 Years for Women

Title of the Project/scheme: “National Livestock Disease Epidemiology and Disease Modelling Program” (BMGF) [Project Coordinator: Dr. B.R.Gulati, Project Coordinator] 

9. Project Manager (One position) 

M.Tech/MVSc/Masters in Epidemiology/Data Science/ Biostatistics /Mathematics with minimum of 4-year experience in epidemiology/disease modeling after completion of masters. OR 
PhD in Epidemiology/Data Science/Biostatistics/Mathematics with minimum of 1 year experience in epidemiology/disease modeling after completion of PhD 

Desirable Experience: 

 Demonstrated experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and complex research project. 
 Candidates with experience in disease modeling and epidemiology will be preferred. 

Responsibilities in the Project The project manager will lead and coordinate the national frame work for livestock disease epidemiology project, ensuring seamless collaboration with international partners, effective management of fellowship programs, and successful delivery of all project objective across multiple work packages

Experience: 

 Knowledge in serological and molecular tests routinely used for small ruminant infectious diseases, including specimen processing, ELISA, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR etc. 
 Conducting field investigations and sample collection. 
 Proficient in basic computer skills (data entry in MS Word, Excel)

Title of the Project/scheme: “Advanced Diagnostic and Omics Strategies for Surveillance and Characterization of Leptospira Carriers in Livestock and Their Environments” – under DHR-ICMR-National One Health Mission (NOHM) funded Project [PI: Dr. V.Balamurugan, Principal Scientist] 12. 

Project Research Scientist-III (Non-Medical) 

Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with five years’ post qualification experience or PhD + two years post qualification experience in Life sciences (Microbiology/Biotechnology/other related fields) or its equivalent. 

 Experience in handling Leptospira culture and other zoonotic pathogen 
 Proficiency in metagenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics for Zoonotic pathogen characterization 
 Experience in One Health approaches, zoonotic disease surveillance, outbreak investigations, and epidemiology in livestock and environmental samples. 
 Expertise in developing and validating diagnostic assays (PCR, qPCR, ELISA, serology) for infectious disease surveillance 
 Managing multidisciplinary research teams and coordinating large-scale studies. 
 Experience working with veterinary epidemiologists, field veterinarians, and public health agencies. 
 Familiarity with spatial epidemiology and GIS-based surveillance. Quite a number of publications with a good impact factor in NAAS and Thomson Reuters-indexed journals. Nature of Work/Job 

Responsibilities: Oversee multi-omics approaches (metagenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics) for Leptospira surveillance in livestock and the environment. Supervise multi-omics data integration to identify Leptospira diversity, biomarkers, and risk factors. Ensure quality control and standardization of sample collection, processing, and analysis. Lead bioinformatics workflows for genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic analysis. Coordinate animal model experiments (hamsters and mice) with adherence to ethical standards. Collaborate with veterinarians, epidemiologists, and public health authorities for real-world applications. Guide Project Research Scientists - I in experiments, data validation, and troubleshooting. Prepare scientific reports, manuscripts, and conference presentations. Assist the Principal/CoInvestigator in project tracking, compliance and administrative reporting.
