RECRUITMENT For DST—TRC funded projects sanctioned for FY 2025—26 

Project Scientist 

Qualification (Essential) : M.Sc in any branch of Life Sciences / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Biotechnology with 60% marks. 

Job description : To carry out experiments required as per the project objectives, writing the manuscripts, documentation related to project work. 

Monthly emoluments : Rs.16,000/- + 20% HRA 

Age limit as on 01.10.2025 : 35 years 

No. of vacancies : Existing—3 (OBC - 1, EWS - 1, UR - 1) (In the absence of eligible OBC / EWS candidates, UR will be considered.) 

Duration : For a period upto 31.03.2026. 

Date & Time of Interview : 23.10.2025, 03.00 PM 

Time of reporting : 02.00 PM 

Mode of selection : Walk-In-Interview 

Venue : Biomedical Technology Wing, Satelmond Palace, Poojappura, Thiruvananthapuram-695 012 

Those who fulfil the above requirements may report for an interview as per the above schedule alongwith duly filled Recruitment Report Form, bio-data, original and self-attested copies of certificate to prove age, qualifications, experience and a valid Income and Asset certificate (for EWS candidates) / Non-Creamy Layer certificate (for OBC candidates) in the prescribed format applicable for employment in Central Govt. Institutions issued by a Revenue Officer not below the rank of a Tahsildar. 

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. Candidates reporting after 02.15 PM will NOT be considered for selection. Candidates already in service have to produce a No Objection Certificate from the present employer at the time of interview. Experience wherever prescribed means experience gained AFTER acquiring the prescribed essential qualification. 

Note : Depending on the number of candidates, a written test of a qualifying nature will be conducted for initial screening and only qualified candidates will be called for interview. Marks obtained in the written test, if conducted, will not be counted for final ranking.
