Applications are invited for interview to be held in offline mode only at ICAR-CIFRI,
Barrackpore for engagement of Manpower purely on contractual basis to work under
Subproject
1 : Multiple value assessment –
A) Assessment of production of fish, fish disease and feasibility study of certification
for fish produced in East Kolkata Wetlands
B) Assessment of agriculture (Paddy), horticulture, medicinal plants, floriculture and
uses.
Subproject 2 : Culture of indigenous fish species
Subproject 3 : Assessment of invasive fish species with special emphasis on
Pterygoplichthys spp. for control/eradication in East Kolkata Wetlands
at ICAR-CIFRI, Barrackpore as per details given bellow :

1. Tenure : Upto 31st December, 2026 or co-terminus with the project which ever is earlier.
2. Separate application must be sent for each post through separate email.
3. Only Indian citizens are eligible to appear in the interview.
4. All candidates must send the prescribed application form to interviewcifri@gmail.com.
None will
be allowed to appear in the interview unless he/ she sends duly filled in prescribed application
form to the said email.
5. Candidates are required to send scanned copies of application addressed to the Director, ICARCIFRI attached with detailed bio-data, affixed with recent passport size photograph and copies
of self-attested certificates in support of age, qualifications, experience, testimonials and other
credentials to interviewcifri@gmail.com within 05:00 PM on 12th January, 2026.
6. All applications received after the mentioned time limit will be summarily rejected.
Eligible candidates will be informed through phone.
7. Unless a candidate sends Certificate / Provisional Certificate with final year mark-sheets
(Mandatory) in respect of Graduation & Post Graduation Qualification, his/her application
will be summarily rejected.
8. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates.
9. Candidates who are already working / or in similar positions should submit No Objection
Certificate obtained from their employer / supervisor along with the filled in application form.
10. The selected candidates will be stationed at Barrackpore or at project site in any State of
India as per requirement time to time and will have to conduct extensive field work
involving frequent travel, laboratory works and survey of different sites for sample
collection.
11. Selected Candidate (s) will be required to produce all original documents at the time of Joining.
12. The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at ICAR-CIFRI at any
point of time.
13. Request for accommodation will not be entertained.
14. The Director’s decision will be final and binding on all aspects.
