Interested candidates are requested to appear for walk in interview on 26.02.2026 at 11:30 AM, for the following post in the Office of the Dean (R&C), Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, Howrah711 103. 

Name of the post: Research Associate - I 

Essential Qualification: PhD in Biotechnology/Biomedical Engineering/ Molecular Biology/Biophysics/ Materials Science/Bioengineering/ Nanotechnology/ Chemical Engineering with specializations related to sensor devices, electrochemistry or equivalent/Electronics Engineering with Microelectronics or equivalent specialization or any allied fields from a recognized University/Institute. 

Desirable Experience: Hand-on experience in Electrochemical/Electronic biochemical sensor development, materials synthesis for biochemical sensors, molecular biology techniques for receptor developments 

Fellowship: Rs. 58,000/- + Rs. 17400/- (HRA @30%) = Rs. 75400/- per month 

Age Limit: Maximum 35 years, (Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/Woman and Physically handicapped candidates). 

Duration of the Project: One year from the date of commencement or till the project continues whichever is earlier

Physical documents will be verified at the time of joining. The selection will be canceled if any discrepancies are found in the documents at the time of physical verification.
