Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary position of one Research
Associate-II (RA-II) in the BRIC-NIPGR Short Term Research Fellowship/Postdoctoral Fellowship
programme of the Institute under the supervision of Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR.
Emoluments will be at par with similar fellowships by DBT/DST and BRIC-NIPGR fellowship norms.
The details of the position are as under:
Research Associate-II (one post):
Emoluments: 61,000/- plus HRA as per norms
Qualification: Doctoral Degree in Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Plant Science/Life Sciences/
Biotechnology/Bioinformatics or equivalent from recognized University and equivalent, as mentioned in the
guidelines as per DST Office Memorandum Number: DST/PCPM/Z-06/2022 dated 26/06/2023, with at
least two first-author research articles in international journal (SCI).
Desirable Qualifications: Candidates having research experience in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS)
and Computational Analysis of Multiomics Datasets.
The above position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the scheme. The initial appointment will be
for one year, which can be extended/curtailed on the basis of assessment of the candidate's performance and
discretion of the Competent Authority.
BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidates against the
above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates.
Reservation of post shall be
as per Government of India norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one month
notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular
position of BRIC-NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for a Walk-In-Interview at BRC-National Institute of Plant Genome Research
(BRIC-NIPGR), Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi – 110 067, on Friday February 27, 2026, at 09:30 a.m.
onwards, along with the duly filled-in application form in the prescribed format.
The duly filled application
form along with self-attested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must
be submitted at the time of registration at BRIC-NIPGR from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on February 27, 2026.
Any candidate reporting after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained for a Walk-in-Interview. The candidates must
ascertain eligibility before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are
requested to appear for the interview with a complete Bio-Data in the given format and original
degree/experience certificates and transcripts for verification. Canvassing in any form or bringing
influence, political or otherwise, will lead to disqualification of the candidate(s).
Note: Incomplete applications and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected.
No. TA/DA will
be paid for attending the Walk-in-Interview.
