Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the purely temporary position of Project
Assistant to work in the Faculty-led Chief Minister Research Grant (CMRG) - project entitled “Effective
treatment against the multidrug resistant pathogens (MDR) using probiotics and its metabolites” –
under the supervision of Prof. K. Anbarasu, Department of Marine Biotechnology, Bharathidasan
University, Tiruchirappalli -620024.

Duration : The position is purely temporary for a period of three years. The initial
appointment is for one year and is extendable based on the performance and
progress. The position is co-terminus with the project.
Qualifications : Essential: M.Sc., in Marine Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/ Zoology/ any
branch of Life Sciences with minimum of 55% or 5.79 CGPA (Relaxation for SC/
ST students: 50% or 5.26 CGPA).
Desired: NET/ Bharathidasan University Ph.D. entrance cleared candidates.
Age Limit : Upper age limit 28 years (Relaxation:5years for SC/ ST)
Fellowship : Rs.25,000/-pm (consolidated).

The selected candidates should enroll for the regular Ph.D program at Bharathidasan University,
Tiruchirappalli-620024.
