Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Opportunity – BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus)
The Plant Developmental and Environmental Signal Integration (Plant DESI) Lab at BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) invites applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position in a project funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF).
The position carries the possibility of transition into a full-time PhD position at BITS Pilani based on performance and mutual interest.
About the Project: The project aims to dissect how light signaling regulates seed oil biosynthesis in Brassicaceae, integrating molecular biology, genetics, genomics, and biochemical approaches across model and crop species.
Eligibility:
• Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline with good academic records.
• Candidates with prior research experience in plant biology, molecular biology, or biochemistry will be preferred.
• Experience working with Brassica species and familiarity with analytical techniques such as GC-MS will be an added advantage.
Fellowship: • ₹37,000/- per month for candidates with valid GATE/NET (CSIR-UGC) qualification
• ₹30,000/- per month for candidates without GATE/NET
