Advertisement for the post of a Research Associate in a DBT-sponsored project

Applications are invited for the position of Research Associate (RA) to work in the DBT New Delhi
(Govt. of India) sponsored research project entitled "Microalgae-Powered Biomanufacturing: A
Carbon Capture Approach for Scalable Nutraceutical Aquafeed Production" at the Department of
Microbiology, Central University of Rajasthan, Bandarsindri, Ajmer, Rajasthan. The position is
purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The position is initially available for one year,
which may be extendable based on the candidate's performance on a yearly basis.

Eligibility Criteria:
Essential Qualifications
• The applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/life
science with research experience in Industrial Microbiology/Biotechnology
• Those who have already submitted their Ph.D. thesis are also eligible to apply.
• Candidates with prior experience in Industrial Microbiology/Industrial Biotechnology/Bioprocess
development
• Hands-on experience in Microalgae culturing and handling of sophisticated instruments like
HPLC.
• Relevant hands-on laboratory experience and a strong background in the area of fermentative
biomass in microalgae, biocatalysis, molecular biology, and biochemistry are encouraged to apply.
• Research experience in the relevant area, supported by publications in high-impact peer-reviewed
international journals, would be a plus.
Fellowship: As per DBT rules. (INR 58,000/- pm (consolidated) + HRA)
Duration: One year (May be extendable based on performance)
