6. Qualifications/Eligibility
Essential: Candidates must have qualified for CSIR-UGC NET(LS) with M.Sc./M. Tech in Botany/life sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry or allied areas with at least 65% marks from any recognized university. Candidate must have prior expertise in Agrobacterium mediated tomato transformation (supported by relevant publication)
Desirable: Candidates will be preferred with proven expertise in routine molecular biology works (viz. gene cloning, q-PCR analysis, recombinant expression of protein and purification/ChIP assay/ EMSA) and prior handling of plant viruses/plant tissue culture. Experience with confocal microscopy will be advantageous.
Note: Application of those candidates having valid CSIR-UGC NET(LS) certificate only will be forwarded for next round of screening and interview, no non-NET candidate will be entertained
7. Monthly Emoluments/Fellowship (Rs.) 37,000 + 30% HRA

Terms and conditions:

• The above position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project only. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
