Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of
Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligible
Indian Nationals for the following project positions.
1 Senior Project
Associate

Project Title: “Mission Program on Pediatric Rare Genetic Disorders” (Funded by DBT)
Principal Investigator: Dr. Rajeeb K. Swain
Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- + 16% HRA per month
Essential Qualifications:
Master's Degree with 1st class in Life Sciences or allied subjects / Bachelor's degree in Medicine from a
recognised University or equivalent; and Four years’ experience in Research and Development in Industrial and
Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services.
(OR)
Doctoral Degree in Science / Engineering / Technology / Pharma / MD / MS from a recognized University or
equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in Molecular Biology/Developmental Biology/Cell Biology/Genomics/Bioinformatics
Nature of the work: Genome Editing in zebrafish/Cell-based assays/NGS library preparation and sequencing,
data analysis, report writing, presentations, and manuscript preparation.
Age Limit:
The candidate should be below 40 years in age, as on 30.04.2026. An age relaxation will be given as per Govt.
of India rules.
