Walk-in-Interview on Thursday, May 18, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. onwards for the post of one
Senior Project Associate
Candidates are invited to appear before selection committee in the walk-in-interview for filling up the
purely temporary position of one Senior Project Associate in the DBT multi-institutional project
entitled “Manipulating agricultural traits for better plant growth, stress tolerance and fruit quality in
tomato”, under the supervision of Dr. Saloni Mathur, Scientist, BRIC-NIPGR.
Senior Project Associate (one Post):
Emoluments ₹. 42000/- plus 27% HRA per month as
sanctioned in the project.
Qualification: Candidates should have Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or
bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Medicine with four years-experience in research and development in
industrial and academic institutions or science and technology organizations and scientific activities and
services OR Doctoral degree in Science / Engineering / Technology from a recognized university or
equivalent and fulfilling the guidelines of DST-OM number SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated July 10, 2020, are
eligible to apply.
The candidates having prior hands-on work experience in molecular biology techniques,
CRISPR, transformation in crop plants, handling NGS data is desirable.
The upper age limit of the post
is 40 years as per above mentioned DSTOM.
The above position is completely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The fellowship amount for
the above positions is as sanctioned in the project and as per DBT/DST norms.
The initial appointment
will be for one-year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier and the same can be
curtailed/extended based on assessment of the candidate's performance and discretion of the Competent
Authority. BRIC-NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon
the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India
norms. The appointment may be terminated at any time by giving one-month notice by either side. The
applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of NIPGR.
Eligible candidates may appear for walk-in-interview at BRIC-National Institute of Plant Genome
Research, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067 on May 18, 2026 at 10:30 am onwards along with the
duly filled in application form in the prescribed format.
The duly filled application form along with selfattested copies of the date of birth, educational & experience certificates must be submitted at the time of
registration at BRIC-NIPGR from 09:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on May 18, 2026. Any candidate reporting
after 10:30 a.m. will not be entertained for walk-in interview. The candidates must ascertain eligibility
before applying, as ineligible candidates will not be interviewed. All the candidates are requested to appear
for the interview with complete bio-data, Ph. D thesis, publication in copy and original degree/experience
certificates and transcripts for verification.
Canvassing in any form or bringing influence, political or
otherwise, will lead to the disqualification of the candidate(s). Candidates must bring original certificates
for verification and a CV in the prescribed attached format at the time of the interview.
Note: Incomplete application and those in the wrong format will be summarily rejected. No TA/DA will
be paid for attending the walk-in-interview.
