Job Profile* Candidate should have to work for DNA/RNA/protein isolation, PCR and
ELISA for Virus indexing. Genetic fidelity using PCR based primers; Agarose
Gel Electrophoresis, Analysis and test report data management etc.
Qualification*
a) M.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Plant Pathology/ Microbiology /Botany/
b) Four years experience in research and development in industrial and
academic institutions or Science and technology organizations and scientific
activities and services
or
Doctoral degree in Plant Pathology/Microbiology/ Botany/Biotechnology from
a recognized University.
Desirable: Having research one year experience in molecular techniques,
immunoassays, database management, good publications in SCI journal, NET
qualified candidates would be preferred
Experience* Experience in molecular and serological techniques for plant virus detection and
genetic fidelity in tissue culture raised plants. NET qualified candidate would be
preferred

Terms & Conditions*
1. This post is purely on temporary contractual basis for a period of 5 months
i.e. upto 30th September 2026.
2. For the details of qualifications and other requirements of post please refer to
DBT Office Memorandum No. SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated, 30th Jan, 2019,
SR/S9/Z-05/2019 dated, 10th Jul, 2020 respectively. The emolument of the
above positions will be as per DST/DBT/ rules
3. Age Limit 40 years and with relaxation for OBC/SC/ST and woman
candidates as per Government/DBT rules
4. The eligible candidates will attend Walk in Interview and they should report
for the interview one hrs before scheduled time on the date of interview for
necessary formalities. Candidates appearing for interview should bring two
copies of their CV in prescribed application format given below (Annexure I),
along with one set of self attested photocopies of their certificates/ mark-sheets/
experience proof etc. Applicants must bring with them original documents at
the time of interview for verification.
5. Only the candidates having essential qualifications would be entertained for
the interview.
6. Candidates reaching after specified time may not ordinarily be entertained.
7. Canvassing in any form would lead to disqualification of the candidate.
8. No TA/ DA will be paid for attending the interview.
9. The selected candidates shall not claim for any regular appointments at this
institute as the above positions are purely contractual, non-regular, time bound
and are co-terminus with the project.
10. The decision of the selection committee of the Institute will be final
