A Walk-In-Test Cum Interview for selection of Project Associate - I (01 Post) under the
project National Network Project on Crop Bioinformatics: NNP of NIPGR purely on
contractual basis shall be held on 15.06.2026 at 10:00 AM at ICAR-Indian Institute of Spices
Research, Kozhikode - 673012.

Essential Post graduate/ Master's degree in Bioinformatics/ Computational
qualification Biology (MSc/ MTech)
Desirable Experience in using programming languages like Python, R etc and Linux
qualification command line tools for handling large-scale NGS data evidenced by , track record of good quality publications
Job Profile The candidate is expected to have knowledge of database management
systems (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with large biological
databases, strong skills in statistical analysis, familiarity with AI based
algorithms for genomie and transcriptomic data analysis.
Fellowship Amount Rs.31000/- + 16% HRA, for
I. Candidates who are selected through National Eligibility Tests -
CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship)
and GATE.
II. Candidates selected through National level examinations
conducted by Central Government Departments and their
Agencies and Institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO,
MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, lIT, IISc, IISER etc (as per the DST
guidelines vide SR/S9/Z-08/2018 dated 30.01.2019)
Rs. 25000/- + 16% HRA, for
Others who do not fall in the above category (I and II).
Duration 3 years (likely to be extended) or till the termination of the project
whichever is earlier.
Age limit 35 years (Age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per
GOI rules)
The candidates fulfilling the above eligibility criteria may attend the Walk-In-Test
Cum Interview at ICAR-IISR, Kozhikode on the date mentioned above. The Candidates should
be present in the venue at 09:30 AM on the date of written test/ Interview; late comers will
not be allowed to appear for the written test/Interview. They should bring with them,
original certificates in proof of age, caste, educational qualifications, experience, publications,
etc. and a copy of all the above certificates. Those who do not furnish the Original or
Provisional Certificate will not be allowed to appear for the written testlinterview.
No TA will be paid for the journey for attending the interview.
