University Allahabad Microbiology/Algal Biology Project Vacancy

Applications are invited on purely temporary basis for one post of Junior Research Assistant (01 JRA) to work in UPCST sponsored research project entitled “Microalgal Remediation of Food Industry Wastewater Coupled with Biodiesel Production and Carbon Dot Synthesis: A Sustainable Biorefinery Approach” vide Letter No: CST/Env./D-1241 sanctioned to Dr. Shivam Yadav (PI) and Dr. Ritu Mishra (Co-PI), Department of Botany. 

The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project with a consolidated stipend of INR 25,000/- per month for 2 years and 28000/-per month for 3rd Year and will be governed by the funding agency CST U.P. guidelines & service conditions of University of Allahabad. 

The performance of the recruited JRA will be evaluated at the end of one year from the start of the project; and will be extended for another one more year based on satisfactory performance. 

Essential Qualifications: The candidates must have M.Sc. Botany/Biotechnology/ Microbiology/Life Science/Biochemistry (1 st class in undergraduate and post graduate examination). 

Candidates with experience in microbiology, algal biology, nanomaterials and wastewater bioremediation will be given preference. 

• Age limit: Maximum 28 years as on 1st April 2025 (age relaxation for SC/ST/PH is as per GoI rules).
