Applications are invited for the post of Young Professional- II (One Position) purely on
contractual basis through virtual interview of shortlisted candidates. Eligible candidates are
requested to send their duly filled in bio-data in the enclosed format "Annexure I" and "Annexure
II" along with scanned copies of the relevant educational and experience/desirable experience
documents as a single file (PDF) by email to millets.omm@gmail.com on or before 22nd
August, 2026. No other format of application will be considered. Incomplete application without
documents will be summarily rejected. Only the short listed candidates will be provided Zoom
link for attending virtual interview by e-mail.

Project Title Upscaling millets production through mainstreaming
landraces/improved Cultivars, Crop Diversification, Supply of
quality seeds (grain and fodder), Capacity Building and Strengthening
of Value chain in Millets for Food and Nutritional security of Odisha.
Emoluments (per
month)
Rs. 35,000/- month (consolidated and fixed)
Project duration March, 2027 (Extendable based on funding).
Tenure Till 31.03.2027 and further extendable based on performance of the
candidate and funding of the project.
Essential Qualifications:
Masters in Genetics and Plant Breeding/ related agricultural and plant sciences from
recognized university
Desirable Qualifications:
Field research experience in Millets/Related field crops.
Trial conduction, field data recording and statistical analysis of data crop experiments
Laboratory working skills
Computer skills, typing and documentation skills
Good communication and writing skills
Job Description:
Coordination of Multi-location field experiments, trial conduction, recording of field
observations, statistical analysis and reporting of the experimental results. DNA isolation
and molecular analysis in millets.
