Applications are invited for the Walk-in Interview on 14.10.2026 at 11.00 AM for the following positions for the DBT funded Project (P-07/1348) entitled "Study of the Complex Genetic System for Developing a Package of R/S Genes to Breed for Spot Blotch Resistance in Bread Wheat". Positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project in the Department of Genetics & Plant Breeding, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi-221005, U. Р.

1. Research Associate I

INR 58,000/-Рer Month +18% HRA (RA-I) 

Duration: Initially for 1 year. Extension will be provided based on performance in first year. Project duration upto December, 2028 

Essential qualification: A Ph.D. in Genetics & Plant Breeding/Plant Pathology/Agricultural Botany/Plant Biotechnology/ or a related discipline from a reputed University/Institution.

Desirable qualification: Proven track record of molecular biology, biotechnology techniques or genomic pipelines, supported by relveant research publications in SCI-indexed journals.

Age: 40 years (Age relaxation SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/Female for the GOI rules) as on date of interview

No TA/DA shall be paid for interview.
