Applications are invited for One (1) post of Senior Research Fellow (SRF) funded by the Department of Biotechnology to work on the project entitled “Role of iron in lipopolysaccharide-induced inflammation in microglia”. The project is likely to be continued up to November 2027.

Qualification: The project needs rigorous work involving gene expression in microglia/macrophages and iron homeostasis. Candidates having excellent experience on techniques on molecular and cell biology related to iron homeostasis, and gene expression should apply.

Essential: M.Sc or equivalent in any branch of biological sciences with at least two years of research experience in the area of mammalian gene expression related to iron homeostasis, working experience with mammalian cell culture and primary cells.

Desirable: At least one publication (preferably first author) in the related area.

Fellowship: As per DBT approval + HRA (as permissible)

Project : “Elucidating the role of RNA dependent RNA Polymerase 1 in promoting host recovery from geminivirus infection”

Position Available :  Research Associate I (One)

Salary : - As per DBT rules and guidelines for RA-I.

Essential Qualifications : PhD in Life Sciences / Genetics / Botany/ Plant Pathology / Plant Physiology/ Biochemistry / Biotechnology.

Desirable Qualifications : Research experience in the area of plant virus interactions / protein-protein interactions with at least 2 original research publications in peer-reviewed SCI/SCOPUS journals as first/corresponding author.

Duration: The above-mentioned positions are completely temporary and are co-terminus with the project. Appointed persons will be expected to stay in the lab for the entire period of the project.

Position: Scientific Administrative Assistant (One)

Project : "JNU-PAIR network on Science for Sustainable Future."

Salary: @24000/- per month plus 30% HRA (as per ANRF rules and guidelines).

Essential Qualifications: Graduate degree in any discipline.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience working in an institution with expertise in keeping official records, preparing financial documents, maintaining inventory, and knowledge of G.O.I. purchase procedures, including GFR rules.

Duration: The Project will continue till September 2030. The above-mentioned position is completely temporary and is co-terminus with the project. The appointed persons will be expected to stay in the PAIR office for the entire period of the project.
