Applications are invited for the temporary post of Project Technical Support-III, Department of Medical Sciences and Technology (MST), IIT Madras. 

Co-ordinator: Prof. Narayanan Madaboosi Srinivasan, MST, IIT Madras. 

Duration: Initially for one year, later extendable based on the performance. 

Number of Vacancies: 01 

Job Description: 

• Benchwork for bioassays and biomolecular interactions. 

• Purification and characterization of biomolecules for assay quantification. 

• Automated DNA extraction for NAATs. 

• Data entry and associated project-related activities. 

• Experience in biomolecules and biomedical technologies. 

• Project Technical Support-III for the ICMR-sponsored project titled “ICMR Centre for Advanced Research – ICMR-NIRT CCR for Tuberculosis Diagnostics & Therapeutics” 

The last date for submission of online application is 12.10.2026. 

General Instructions to the candidates 

1) All the positions are on purely contract basis. 

2) The completion of the period of contract will not confer any right for further extension, regularization, permanency at the Institute. 

Qualification: • Three years graduate in Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / related domains, with 3 years’ experience, or PG degree. OR • For Engineering / IT / CS - First Class Four Years Graduate Degree, with 3 Years Experience 

Age Limit: up to 35 years 

Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (30%) = Rs. 36,400/- per month (including HRA)
