Walk-in Interview on 12.10.2026 at CSIR-CSMCRI-Marine Algal Research Station, Mandapam camp-623519  

Applications are invited from the talented and motivated candidates for working in the following project.  

Post Code-1  Project title: Identification of Potential Location for Seaweed Cultivation and Valorisation” (Project No. HCP-0024 Phase-III, under WP-2)  

Name of the Post  Project Assistant -II (1 number)  

Nature of Work  Production of elite material of Kappaphycus alvarezii and cultivation in open sea  

Essential Qualification  B.Sc Botany/Marine biology/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Oceanography/ Microbiology /Marine Science  

Desirable Qualification  Experience on seaweed culture and cultivation  

Monthly emolument  20,000/-per month + admissible HRA  

Age limit  35 years (Relaxation in age as per CSIR norms)  

Duration: These positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. It would, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming absorption in CSIR- CSMCRI.  

The engagement of a project staff in different projects either in the CSIR - Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar or different Laboratories/Institutes of CSIR taken together shall not exceed 06 years in any case. It would, therefore, not confer any right/claim implicit or explicit for any candidate for claiming extension or absorption in CSIR-CSMCRI, Bhavnagar.    

Interview Details: Interested candidates should appear before the Selection Committee for an interview test at CSIR-CSMCRI-Marine Algal Research Station, Mandapam camp-623519, Tamil Nadu on 12th October 2026, Wednesday at 09.30 AM in the institute.  

Required Documents: Please bring an application with full particulars, including:  Full name and postal address with email and phone number (application form attached), Date of birth and recent photograph. Educational qualifications and experience (if any) with photocopies of certificates/testimonials. Also, bring the following original documents (compulsory): Certificates and mark sheets of educational qualifications and proof of date of birth mentioned in the application. 

Experience certificates and testimonials. "No Objection Certificate" from the present employer if employed in a Government/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organization.
