Advertisement for the Post of Project Fellow

Applications on plain paper giving complete permanent and correspondence address including telephone no. and e-mail address, details of educational qualifications (starting from High School or equivalent) and/or experience if any along with attested copies of all mark sheets/ certificates are invited for the post of Project Fellow in the ongoing UGC sponsored Major Research Project (MRP) entitled “Management of biotic stress by using antagonistic isolates of Trichoderma spp. In tomato vegetated temperate agro ecosystems” (No. MRP-MAJOR-BOTA-2013-25956 (ST) on the following terms and conditions.

Post: one 

Salary: Rs. 16,000/- p.m. plus HRA as per the University rules. 

Tenure: 3 years.

The post is temporary and co- terminus with the Project on 01/07/2018. 

Essential Qualification:

1. Master degree in Botany/Zoology/Biotechnology/Environmental Science/Microbiology with a minimum of 55% marks for general category (50% in case of SC/ST/PH)

2. UGC/CSIR NET 

Desirable Qualification: Experience in basic Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology techniques 

Age: Below 40 years as on 01/10/2015. 

Relaxation in educational qualifications/upper age limit is admissible for SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates as per UGC guidelines/GOI rules. 

Project fellow will have to work full time in the Project and will not be entitled to avail vacations, e.g. summer, winter etc. The services of the selected candidate will be governed by the rules/ regulation of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh/UGC (XII plan MRP) guidelines but he/she will not be an employee of the University and shall have no claim for any benefit whatsoever on that account.

Mode of Selection: The selection shall be made on the basis of merit. The eligible candidates are required to appear for interview before the duely constituted Selection Committee for the purpose. The scheduled date, time and venue for the interview shall be intimated to the eligible candidates through phone/ e-mail.

No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidates for attending the interview. The applicants should enclose self attested documentary proof for each claim made in the application. The candidates should carefully read the eligibility conditions before applying. No clarifications in this regard will be entertained. Incomplete applications shall be rejected without notice.
