Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate (RA) (01), Junior Research Fellow (JRF) (01) and Lab Attendant (LA) (01) with emoluments of Rs 36,000 p.m. + HRA, Rs 25,000 p.m. + HRA and fixed Rs 10,500 p.m. in a SERB sponsored project entitled ‘Effects of dietary Ayurvedic Rasayanas on the innate immune response in Drosophila melanogaster’ sanctioned for three years.
The post is temporary and co-terminus with the project. The candidates for RA position should hold Ph.D. or equivalent degree, with at least two research publications in good journals; for JRF the candidates should hold M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Molecular and Human Genetics/Zoology or related area with at least 55% marks and qualified NET/GATE and for LA the candidates should have passed B.Sc. or Intermediate in Science with 2–3 years’ laboratory/field work experience or ITI with 2 years experience.
The upper age limit is 45 years for RA, 28 years for JRF and 30 years for LA, relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates. All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GoI rules. The candidate with experience in the relevant area will be preferred.
