Applications are invited for the following purely project-based positions. The candidate with adequate qualification may appear for Walk-In-Interview on 05 January, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. onwards at Kosi-Katarmal (Almora) campus of the Institute. Desirous candidate may forward an advance copy of the application to the Administrative Officer by e-mail (os@gbpihed.nic.in) clearly mentioning the position applied for. Candidates appearing for Interview should bring original copies (with xerox copy) of testimonials, biodata, publications etc along with an application. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates appearing for the Interview.

Position Research Associate (01 No.)

Emoluments @ Rs. 22,000/ Month + HRA

Age Maximum 35 years Qualification (essential) Ph.D. with first class Masters degree in Botany/Forestry/Biotechnology/Environmental Sciences supported by research publications in impact factor journals.

Candidates having M. Tech. degree in relevant subject with three years experience (after M. Tech.) will also be considered.

Qualification (desirable) Research experience in field conditions in the Himalayan region; Should possess analytical capabilities, computer proficiency, and motivation for research 

Nature of Duties & Responsibilities Field research, Analysis, Synthesis and Report Writing, Presentation in the review and other meetings.

Senior Research Fellow/ Senior Project Fellow (1 No.)

Rs. 18000/- +HRA pm for Net (JRF) qualified candidate RS. 12,000 +HRA pm For Non NET

Age: 32 Years*

M Sc (First Division) in Microbiology plus 2 years research experience as JRF Experience in microbial diversity related to the Indian Himalayan Region Biochemical and molecular characterization of microbes from extreme conditions

Position Junior Research Fellow (01 No.)

Emoluments @ Rs. 12,000/ pm +HRA @ Rs. 16,000/ pm + HRA for NET(JRF)/GATE qualified

Age* Maximum 28 Years

Eligibility First Class Masters degree in Botany with specialization in Plant Physiology or Biochemistry; or M.Sc. (Plant Physiology/Biochemistry)

Nature of Duties & Responsibilities Field Research, data base development, data analysis and report writing/presentation Desirable Physically fit to work in the Himalayan Mountains and experience of working in the region
