a). Senior Research Fellow: (4 positions)
Essential Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Agriculture (Plant Breeding and Genetics or Plant Pathology or Molecular Biology and Biotechnology) with 4 years / 5 years of Bachelor’s degree. Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Sciences (Botany/Genetics/Biotechnology/Microbiology/Biochemistry/Life Sciences) with 3 years Bachelor’s degree and 2 years Master’s degree should have NET qualification.
Desirable Qualifications: Two years research experience in rice Rice Pathology/Rice genetics/Rice Breeding/Rice molecular biology/Rice Marker-assisted selection as evidenced by publications and/or reference letters.

4. DBT – Project on “Maintenance, Characterization and use of EMS Mutants of Upland Variety Nagina 22 for functional genomics in rice-Phase-II” – IIRR component – mutants for tolerance to low Phosphorus.

Essential Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Genetics/Biotechnology/Plant Breeding/Biochemistry/Plant Sciences / Life Science with specialization in molecular biology with first division and NET qualification or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course. The candidates should have two years of research experience with evidence of published papers in standard journals.
Desirable Qualifications: Research experience in QTL mapping and phenotyping, gene cloning and plant transformation, bioinformatics, statistics, good writing skills.

6. ICAR – Incentivizing Research In Agriculture”, Project III entitled “Genetics modifications to improve biological nitrogen fixation for augmenting nitrogen needs of cereals”.
Duration: 1 year & further extendable
Research Associate: (1 position)
Essential Qualifications: Ph.D. in the relevant subject (viz., Agricultural Biotechnology/ Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Plant Sciences/Microbiology/Botany/ Genetics or any other related discipline in Life Sciences) OR Master’s Degree in the relevant subject (viz., Agricultural Biotechnology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/Plant Sciences/Microbiology/Botany/Genetics or any other related discipline in Life Sciences) with 4 years/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent overall grade point average, with at least two years of research experience as evidenced from 3 Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements.
Desirable Qualifications: Published research papers (3 Nos.) minimum, each with NAAS rating.6.0) Experience in working in rice research group for atleast two years including experience in microbial technology/rice biotechnology, rice genomics/rice bioinformatics.
