Applications on plain paper giving complete permanent and correspondence address including telephone no. and e-mail address (if available), details of educational qualifications (starting from class 10th onwards), proof of date of birth, and/or proof of experience (if any) along with attested copies of all mark sheets/ certificates and copy of caste certificate or handicapped certificate (as the case may be) are invited for one post of JRF/SRF/Research Associate in the ongoing CSIR-EMR sponsored research project entitled “BIODEGRADATION OF PROFENOFOS AND FENTHION PESTICIDES - ROLE OF MICROBIAL ISOLATE(S) AND DETERMINATION OF DEGRADATION PATHWAY(S)” (Project No. 24(0341)/16/EMR-II) on the following terms and conditions:

Post Name: Junior Research Fellow(JRF)/Senior Research Fellow(SRF)/Research Associate (RA)  Post: one 

Salary: Rs.25000/- per month for JRF/Rs. 28000/- per month for SRF/Rs.36000/- per month for RA. In addition to the stipend, the fellow/associate will be entitled to 10% HRA (as per rules of CUHP), provided he/she has not been given hostel accommodation (stipend paid/payable will be treated as pay for the purpose of HRA), 

Duration: Initially for one year (extendible for two more years depending on the performance of the fellow). The post will be co-terminus with the project. 

Educational Qualification:

For JRF: Master Degree (or equivalent degree) with minimum 55% marks in any branch of Life Sciences/Chemistry/Biotechnology/Environmental Science with NET/GATE qualified in the relevant subject/

For SRF: The NET/GATE qualified candidate having a minimum of 2 years of research experience in the field of bioremediation/biotechnology research after MSc or equivalent degree with good publication record (at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports)/

For RA: PhD in science with good publication record (at least one research publication in standard refereed journal as listed in Journal Citation Reports) 

Desirable Qualification: Experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in HPLC and GC techniques and in bioremediation research. 

Relaxation in the upper age limit/educational qualifications is admissible in case of SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped/Woman candidates as per CSIR rules.  Terms: The post is entirely temporary and has been sanctioned for the execution of the project. The services of the selected candidate will be governed by the rules/ regulation of the CSIR and Central University of Himachal Pradesh but he will neither be an employee of the CSIR nor the University and shall have no claim for any benefit whatsoever on that account.

Process of Selection: The selection shall be made on the basis of merit. The eligible candidates are required to appear for interview before the duly constituted Selection Committee for the purpose. The scheduled date and time of interview shall be intimated to the eligible candidates through phone/ e-mail.
