Essential: Masters degree in (plant pathology/ Microbiology/Biotechnology) with 4 years/ 5years of Bachelor’s degree. OR
 
Candidates having post graduate degree in Basic Science with 3 years Bachelor’s degree & 2years Master’s degree should have NET or equivalent. OR
 
Qualification as prescribed ICAR for SRF position.
 
The masters degree holders with integrated degrees like B.Tech. & M. Tech (5 years) are also eligible.
 
Desirable: (i) Experience in handling fungal pathogens (ii) Work experience in fungicide resistance (iii) Skill in molecular works (Protein, DNA, RNA). (iv) Skill in use of computer tools.
