Junior Research Fellow

DBT’s Twinning programme for the NE’ entitled “Hydrogenogenic carbon monoxide conversion under mesophilic condition using anaerobic granular sludge biomass for biodesulphurization” under the guidance of Prof. Tapan K. Dutta, Department of Microbiology. 

Essential Qualification : A good M.Sc. degree in any branch of Life Sciences with NET* qualification.

Fellowship : Rs. 25,000/- p.m., plus admissible HRA. 

 Age Limit : Below 28 Years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/WOMEN candidates only as per rule). * As per SERB Office Memorandum No. SB/S9/Z-01/2015 dated 07.01.2015, the following examinations conducted by various Central Government Departments / Agencies are considered as National Eligibility Test (NET). 

– CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test-JRF 
MHRD – Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), Joint Admission Test (JAM), Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 
DBT - Biotechnology Eligibility Test & Test conducted in Bioinformatics by Bioinformatics National Consortium (BINC)
DAE – JEST & JGEEBILS, NBHM 
ICMR – JRF Entrance Examination 
ICAR – All India Competitive Examination (AICE) 

 Interested and eligible candidates may appear in person before the Selection Committee with a typed application addressed to the Sr. Prof. & In-Charge, Registrar’s Office, Bose Institute, P–1/12, C.I.T. Scheme VII-M, Kankurgachi, Kolkata – 700 054 along with complete Bio-data giving details of qualification i.e. examination passed, year, division, percentage of marks from Secondary onwards with attested copies of Certificates, Mark-sheets. Candidates should also bring original mark-sheets, certificates, testimonials at the time of Interview. No TA/DA is admissible for appearing at the Interview.
