Project positions in plant functional genomics 

Applications are invited from Indian citizens for the following temporary project positions DBT Project: “Newton-Bhabha Virtual Centre on Nitrogen Efficiency of Whole Cropping Systems for Improved Performance and Resilience in Agriculture” 

Positions: 2 Research Associates, 1 Junior Research Fellow

Research Associate 

Rs. 36,000/- pm + HRA Ph.D. (fulltime) in relevant area of biology/ biotechnology/agriculture. 

Age: <40 nbsp="" p="" yrs="">

Functional genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, plant molecular biology, agricultural genetics. 

2 research papers in SCI-indexed journals of impact factor 

2. JRF 

Rs. 25,000/- pm + HRA Masters degree (full time) in biology/biotechnology/ agriculture/equivalent and NET JRF/LS. 

Age: <25 experience="" nbsp="" p="" relevant="" skills.="" with="" yrs="">

The candidates must be consistently 1st class (A grade) throughout, from 10thStd onwards. Only those holding degrees from UGC-recognized government Universities/institutions may apply. Hostel admission is possible but subject to availability and university rules.

The initial appointment shall be for a period of 1 year, extendible on yearly basis by the PI till June 2019 or the end of the project.
