Recruitment of Senior Project Fellows (03) and Junior Project Fellows (07) 

The Wildlife Institute of India (WII) is a premier autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India, in the field of wildlife research, training, and management. The WII wishes to engage 03 Senior Project Fellows and 07 Junior Project Fellows for various projects for a period of 01 year through Written Test and Interview on 1 st May 2018 at WII. The EQ, DQ and other details of the positions are provided below:

1 Assessment of the proposed Kotdwar Ramnagar Kandi Road and review of the feasible options to promote green infrastructure to address the impacts on wildlife values

03 Senior Project Fellows (Rs. 32,000 + HRA and other admissible allowances)

Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Veterinary Science/ Geography/ Geo-informatics/ Social Sciences, Statistics, Commerce, and Arts from a recognized university with at least one year field research experience

Experience in (a) sign surveys, (b) camera trapping, (c) spatial analysis using Remote Sensing and GIS tools; (d) vegetation quantification; (e) data management and statistical analyses.

2 Assessment of the Impacts of Proposed Rail Route connectivity to Char Dham (Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath) for mainstreaming biodiversity conservation concerns in project implementation

07 Junior Project Fellows (Rs. 25,000 + HRA and other admissible allowances)

Masters’ Degree in Wildlife Science/ Botany/ Zoology/ Forestry/Life Science/ Agriculture/ Environmental Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Veterinary Science/ Geography/ Geo-informatics/ Social Sciences, Statistics, Commerce, and Arts from a recognized university

Interest/specialization and fieldwork skills in a) vegetation / b)invertebrates / c) fishes / d) birds / e) herpetofauna / f)mammals Or experience in spatial analysis using Remote Sensing & GIS tools
