Applications in the prescribed format [Google Form] are invited from eligible & interested candidates for engagement of Project Associate-II on
purely temporary basis, under the projects:
(i) GAP-3147 and (ii) GAP-3146 tenable at CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu.
The positions are co-terminus with the projects GAP-3147 and GAP-3146.
Project Associate-II
[ 01 Position ]
i) M.Sc. in Botany/ Biochemistry from
a recognized university or
equivalent; and
ii) 2 years’ experience in Research &
development in Industrial and
Academic Institutions or Science &
Technology Organizations and
Scientific activities and services.
Background in ecological
interactions, especially with
insects, and understanding their
responses to changing climates.
Demonstrated research experience
related to plant-insect
interactions, ecological studies, or
related fields, with potential
publications.
i) ₹ 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are
selected through (a) National
Eligibility Tests-CSIR-UGC NET
including lectureship (Assistant
Professorship) or GATE or (b) A
selection process through National
level examinations conducted by
Central Government Departments
and their Agencies and Institutions.
ii) ₹28,000/- + HRA for others who do
not fall under (i) above.

Bioinformatics/ Biochemistry/
Botany or B.Tech. in
Biotechnology/Bioinformatics
from a recognized university or
equivalent; and
ii) 2 years’ experience in Research &
development in Industrial and
Academic Institutions or Science &
Technology Organizations and
Scientific activities and services.
Strong expertise in genomics,
molecular biology techniques,
and next-generation sequencing
technologies.
Proficiency in metabolomics
techniques for identification and
analysis of specialized
metabolites.
Bioinformatics skills, including
data analysis, statistical tools, and
programming languages (e.g.,
Python, R).
i) ₹ 35,000/- + HRA to Scholars who are
selected through (a) National

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates as per GOI/CSIR Instructions. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD etc. should upload their copies of
certificates in the proper format issued by the appropriate authority as per the latest instructions issued on the subject.
2. Age relaxation for Widows, Divorced Women and Women Judicially separated from Husbands, who are not remarried since, as per GOI/CSIR guidelines.
ONLINE MODE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCEDURE
1. Application Forms (Google Form) for these positions can be filled in online in the Google Form using following links.

3. Filled in Google Form should be submitted by or before 20.08.2023 (Sunday) up to 5:00 pm.
4. Google Form submitted after the scheduled date and time i.e. 20.08.2023 (Sunday) up to 5:00 pm. shall not be entertained and summarily rejected.
5. The duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications and shortlist the candidates for In Person Interview.
The list of eligible shortlisted
candidates, venue of interview and date for Interview will be displayed on CSIR-IIIM Website: www.iiim.res.in by evening on 22.08.2023 (Tuesday).
6. The shortlisted candidates are requested to be present at the venue of interview on the date of Interview ONE HOUR BEFORE the scheduled time of
Interview [i.e. Candidates are supposed to arrive at the venue of interview ON OR BEFORE 9:00AM.] for necessary verification of documents. Candidates
will not be entertained after 10.00 AM under any circumstance. (if any change is there, they will be accordingly intimated).
7. The shortlisted candidates are required to attend the In Person Interview along with Original Certificates in support of Date of birth, Essential Educational
Qualification, Category Certificate (if applicable) etc. Tentative Mark Sheets/Certificates and ‘RESULT AWAITED’ will not be considered.
8. The shortlisted candidate(s) having serious health issues/complications (please attach proof) may forward their requests to following PIs of the project for
attending the interview through online mode. However, it shall be the discretion of Selection Committee to take final call in this regard.
