Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology,
Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for the
appointment of the following position.
Name of position: Project assistant (01 position)
PI: Dr. Namisha Sharma
Project Title: SERB funded project “Elucidating the miRNA-encoded peptide-mediated regulation of miR159
during Tomato leaf Curl New Delhi virus infection in tomato”
Fellowship: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA@16%
Eligibility & Selection: Candidates having B.Sc. or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences or allied subjects
such as Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point
(50% for OBC/ST/SC) are eligible to apply.
Candidates with knowledge in Plant Molecular Biology and hands-on experience in virus inoculation, plant tissue
culture techniques and having experience in bioinformatics will be preferred.
Age Limit: The candidate should be below 28 years in age, as on 08.07.2025.
Age relaxation will be given to the
candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

the interview with the complete application form along with attested copies of mark sheets and certificates, age
proof, caste certificate (if any), along with the experience certificate. Incomplete applications and applications
without the above-mentioned documents will be rejected. The appointment will be for Seven months or until the
end of the project.
No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of
candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
