(Scientist ‘D’, Microbiology)

Essential:
(i) Master's degree or equivalent in Microbiology / Biotechnology / Biochemistry (First Class with not less than 60% marks at Graduation/post-graduation) from a recognized University OR
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (B.E or B.Tech. in Biotechnology, First Class with not less than 60% marks) from a recognized University.
(ii) Nine years' experience in teaching (at graduate or post graduate level)/ Research and Development / Administration/ Planning/Supervision in the field of Microbiology.
Desirable:- (i) Doctorate Degree in Microbiology or M.E /M. Tech in Biotechnology from a recognized University with demonstrated research experience in molecular techniques in Microbial Biodiversity/Microbial Biotechnology.

Job Requirements: (i) To undertake and co-ordinate research programmes in the contemporary and frontier areas of Microbiology/Biogeochemistry, (ii) Any other work/duties as assigned by Director.
