DST sponsored project on " High temperature stress response and associated changes in growth and yield of rice (Oryza sativa L.)" 

Walk In Interview on 5-10-10 at 10.00 AM

The position is available to conduct research on the effect of climate change on rice, characterize heat shock proteins etc. Responsibilities and duties include raising the rice plants under different temperature conditions, design and execution of experiments, data management and facilitating lab operations.


Essential Qualifications: M. Sc. in Plant Biotechnology/ Biophysics/ Environmental science/Plant Biochemistry/ Plant Physiology preferably with research experience in rice Biotechnology, climate change, physiology and enzyme analysis.


Desirable qualifications: Strong demonstrated background in biochemical techniques, gel electrophoresis, rice physiology and Biotechnology, excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of computer and bioinformatics tools.

Remunerations: Rs.16,000/- (consolidated) per month + HRA as applicable.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
