Qualified candidates are invited to attend the walk-in-interview at the Directorate of Groundnut Research, Junagadh, Gujarat for the Research Associate (RA) and Sr. Research Fellow (SRF) - one post each on co terminus basis or for an extended period as decided by the competent authority.

RA: National Fund for Basic and Strategic Research in Agricultural Sciences (NFBSRA) – ProjectMorphological, Physiological and molecular evaluation of groundnut germplasm for tolerance of drought and high temperature stresses to increase productivity in Rain-dependent cropping system – Sub-Project
S.R.F.: Central Sector Scheme for Implementation of Plant Variety Protection and Farmers’ Rights Legislation (PVP & FR)
Duration: Till 31st March 2012
Educational Qualification:
RA: Essential: Masters degree in any branch of plant /biological science
Desirable: Specialization in molecular biology/ biotechnology or working experience in finger printing techniques like AFLP, SSR, SNP etc.
SRF: Essential: M.Sc. (Ag.) in Plant Breeding and Genetics of M.Sc., in Botany
Desirable: Knowledge of taxonomy, computers, data analysis etc.
Emoluments:
RA: Rs. 23000 P.M. + HRA, for Ph.D. Rs. 24,000 P.M.+HRA
SRF: Rs. 16000 P.M. + HRA
Age limit: RA: 40 years for men and 45 years for women SRF: 35 years for men and 40 years for women (Relaxation to SC/ST, OBC and other exempted categories of candidates as per Govt. Norms)
No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview
