DBT funded Project “Understanding the Role of Serine Protease HtrA2/Omi in Apoptotic Cell death.”
Duration of the Project : Upto June 2012
CONSOLIDATED SALARY : Rs. 15,600/- p.m.
Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in biochemistry, biotechnology and biological sciences from a recognized university with not less that 55% aggregate marks.
Applicants with experience in molecular cloning, protein expression and purification. Experience in using different chromatographic techniques, molecular biology techniques will be preferred. Basic understanding and experience in biophysical techniques such as fluorescence spectroscopy and circular dicroism is desirable.
Job Description: To design mutants of serine protease HtrA2, purify and express the mutants. Perform biochemical and biophysical studies on the proteins to understand its conformational changes and correlate it with its functions.
