Candidates are invited to attend Walk-in-Interview for filling up of 02 posts of Junior Research Fellows for Department of Biotechnology (Government of India) funded research project from the eligible candidates.
Junior Research Fellow
Period: Project 1- Apprx. 5 years (up to September 2016)
Project 2. Apprx. 6 months (Up to June 2012)
Venue: Seribiotech Research Lab, Kodathi, Carmelram post, Bangalore-35

Time: Candidate should report to interview between 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon.
Project 1. Development of RNA interference (RNAi) based nuclear polyhedrosis virus (NPV) resistance transgenic silk moth.
[Jointly with CDFD, Hyderabad, APSSRDI, Hindupur) under Center for excellence on Genetics and Genomics of Silkmoth (Phase II) to CDFD, Hyderabad.
Consolidated basic pay of Rs. 12000/- per month + eligible HRA for first two years and Rs. 14000 for subsequent years + eligible HRA [For CSIR-UGC JRFNET passed candidates Consolidated basic pay of Rs. 16000/- per month + eligible HRA for first two years and Rs. 18000/- + eligible HRA for subsequent years.
Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Zoology (specialization in genetics) /Biochemistry/ Molecular Biology/Animal Genetics/Biotechnology/ with an aggregate of 60% marks (5% relaxable to SC/ST candidates)
Desirable: CSIR-UGC NET passed for JRF
Preference: Candidate with through out first class will be given preference.
32 years (Relaxable for 5 years for SC/ ST/ and 3 years for OBC candidates.
Project 2. Identification and mapping of DNA markers linked to NPV resistance in silkworm Bombyx mori. [ Collaboration with APSSRDI, Hindupur] Consolidated basic pay of Rs. 12000/- + eligible HRA per month.

Terms & Conditions:
1. The above mentioned positions are purely on contractual basis and are co-terminus with the project. There is no provision of reemployment after termination of project.
2. Completion of essential qualification at the time of application is mandatory.
3. No TA, DA will be paid for attending the interview.
4. The applicants should bring attested copies of educational qualification from X Standard onwards, caste/ community certificate showing SC/ST and OBC, two passport size photograph and a brief note on research/project work carried out during post graduation. Three copies of the Curriculam vitae mentioning all the details should also be brought at the time of Interview.
5. ‘No objection Certificate’ from his/her employer, if any and certificates of educational qualifications and experience in original should be produced at the time of interview.
6. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature.
7. The candidates are expected to join their position within 10 days from the date of receipt of appointment order. Director reserve the right to accept or reject any or all applications, without assigning any reason thereof.
8. The decision of the Director, Seribiotech Research Laboratory, Central Silk Board, Carmelram post, Kodathi, Bangalore-560035 shall be final and binding in all aspects.
