An walk-in-interview will be conducted on 07 February 2012 at 11.30 A.M. at the Indian Statistical Institute. Kolkota for recruitment of one (1) on purely temporary basis Project-linked Junior Research Fellow to work in the project titled "An investigation on antimicrobial potential of Chebulic myrobalan (fruit of Terminalia chebula Retz.) against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus in the Agricultural & Ecological Research Unit of the Institute.

Essential Post-graduate degree in Biochemistry/Chemistry/Microbiology/ Molecular Biology from a recognized university/institute with consistently good academic record.

Rs.12,000/- per month plus HRA & MA as per rules (for first two years).

Rs.14,000/- per month plus HRA & MA as per rul es (for 3rd year).

Tenure of appointment Initially for a period of one year from the date of joining which may be extended later/terminated earlier. depending on availability of funds & performance of the candidate.

Age Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 January 2012 with usual relaxation for
SC/ST/OBC candidate
