Eligible and interested candidates are invited for Interview for the following purely temporary positions of Project Assistant Level II in the following area under various project(s) tenable at CSIR-NBRI:-
Area I: Plant Molecular Biology
Position A
Essential Qualifications 1st class M.Sc. /B.Tech in Bioinformatics/Computer Science.
Desirable Experience in using bioinformatics tools and coding programme in Perl/C language. Candidate is expected to analyze deep sequencing data for identifying chromatin interactions, carrying co-expression analysis and other computational biology tools related to epigenomics.
Position B
Essential Qualifications 1st class M.Sc. in Plant Science/ Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Life Sciences/1st class /B.Tech in Biotechnology/ /Biochemistry.
Desirable Experience in molecular Biology techniques, DNA-protein interactions. Candidate is expected to work in area of epigenetic regulation involving chromatin interactions.
Area IV: Plant Molecular Systematics
Essential Qualifications 1st class M.Sc in Botany/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Plant Sciences
Desirable Experience in Plant Systematics/Biosystematics/Molecular Biology and working experience in DNA extraction, PCR amplification and Electrophoresis.
Area V : Microbiology & Biofertilizers
Essential Qualifications 1st class M.Sc in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences/ Botany/ Biochemistry.
Desirable Working Experience /knowledge of basic Microbiological techniques.
Stipend Rs.12000/-p.m.
Date & Venue
For Area I : on 25-02-2013, Area II & III:on 26-02-2013. Area IV & V: on 27-02-2013 at 11:30 A.M. in the Conference Room T.N. Khushoo Block, NBRI, Lucknow
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
a) Upper age limit not exceeding 28 years as on the date of interview. Age relaxation for SC/ST candidates 05 years and OBC candidates 03 years as per Government of India instructions.
b) The Application form will be provided at the venue on the date. However, candidates may download the application form in advance from the website www.nbri.res.in. At the time of interview candidates should bring one latest photograph, attested copy of certificates of examinations passed (starting from matriculation), certificate indicating date of birth, caste certificate (in case of SC/ST/OBC) and experience certificate, etc. Tentative mark sheets/certificates and 'result awaited' will not be considered. All eligible candidates are requested to be present at the venue on the said date 30 minutes before the scheduled time for necessary formalities.
c) Mode of Selection: Through Interview. However, if large numbers of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising of multiple choice objective questions will be held for short listing the candidates for interview. The short listed candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee and, based on the performance in the interview, a panel of recommended candidates will be formed. The panel shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the projects in the relevant field/area. Candidates have the option to interact in Hindi/English before the committee.
d) The positions are purely temporary on contract basis and co- terminus with the sponsored projects. Further the above stipend(s) is tentative and the same will be finally decided based on the availability of funds in the relevant sponsored projects.
e) To avoid any inconvenience, only those candidates who strictly fulfill the eligibility criteria and possess the degree/mark sheet in the aforesaid subjects should turn up for floating interview
No TA/DA will be admissible.
