Qualification:-
(i) Project assistant level I: B. Sc. (Ag. / Biology / any branch of life/plant sciences) or Bachelor of Rural Studies (BRS) with Agronomy/crop production/horticulture/extension or Diploma in civil Engineering with at least 55% marks.
(ii) Project assistant level II: M.Sc. / B.E / B. Tech. with minimum 55% marks in respective subject. NET / GATE qualified or experience candidates will be preferred and may be fixed on higher remunerations as per norms.
(iii) Project assistant level III: M.Sc. / B.E / B. Tech. with minimum 55% marks and two years of additional experience in respective area. NET / GATE qualified candidates may be fixed on higher remunerations as per norms.
(iv) Project Fellow: Master's degree in respective subjects with at least 55% aggregated marks preferred with JRF qualification as per HRDG guidelines.
(v) Senior Project Fellow: Master's degree. in respective subjects with at least 55% aggregated marks and 1 years (in case of M.Sc. Ag.) or 2 years (in case of M.Sc.) of additional experience in the respective fields with minimum one research publication in SCI Journal would be required or B.Sc. (Ag.) with at least 55% marks and one publication in SCI journal and should have completed at least 3 years of research experience.
(vi) Project associate or Research Associate: Candidates possessing Ph.D. or equivalent degree with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal will be eligible to apply.
In case of SC/ST candidates, these criteria shall be relaxed as per CSIR rules (by 5%).
General Conditions:-

B. Sc. (Ag.) with relevant experience
Emoluments: Rs. 8000/- for Project assistant level I, Rs. 12,000/- or 14,000/- or 16000/- for Project assistant level II or III, Rs. 16,000/- for Project Fellow, Rs. 18,000/- for Senior Research Fellow and Rs. 20,000/-, 22000/- pm. for Project associate and Research Associate respectively. HRA will be paid as per CSIR rule if applicable to the level of posts. NET/GATE qualified and/or experienced candidates in the respective fields would be preferred. The numbers of posts indicated are indicative and are flexibly interchangeable or can be downsized/increased depending upon the suitability of candidates, experience and budgetary limits.
Age: Age limit for Project assistant level I / Project assistant level II or Project fellow / Project assistant level III or Senior Project Fellow / Project or Research Associate shall be 25 / 28 / 32 / 35 years (Relaxation as per CSIR rules), respectively as on the date of the interview. The interested candidates meeting the above requirements may attend the walk-in-interview with a copy of detailed bio-data enclosing photocopies of all certificates, reprints etc. along with the original certificates of qualifications, experiences etc. in support of their claim on 7th May 2013 at 9.30 A.M. to 5.45 P.M. in institute conference room at Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI), G.B.
