Initially for one year.

@Rs. 16,000/- + HRA as per Institute norms for the candidate qualified NET exam.

Age-28 years

First class Master degree in Botany/ Forestry/ Chemistry/ Biochemistry.

• Conduct intensive field survey on different remote areas of the Himalayan region.
• Isolation quantification and characterization of biomolecules

Preference will be given to the candidate with experience on taxonomy and ecological work in the Himalayan region for knowledge of handling HPLC/GC and other instruments used in chemical analysis.

DST funded project: Indicators of climate change in the context of Himalayan forest ecosystems among an environmental gradient. PI- Dr. G.C.S. Negi, Scientist-“E”

04 Junior Research/Project Fellow (01 No.)

@Rs. 12,000/- pm +7.5% HRA
@Rs. 16,000/- pm + 7.5% HRA for NET qualified.

Age 28 Years

First class Master degree in Forestry/ Botany/ Environmental Science/ Agriculture with meteorology.

Preference will be given to candidates having research experience on the subject of project in the Himalayan forests/mountains.

Extensive field work in the remote forests of west Himalayan mountain and rigorous lab. work.

Earth watch India funded project: Assessment and quantification of forest ecosystem services with special emphasis on pollination in the Indian Himalayan agro-ecosystems. PI-Dr. G.C.S. Negi, Scientist-“E”.

Duration : 02 Years (Initially for one year and extendable for one more year after successful completion of Ist Year)

05 JRF/SRF/Project Fellow (01 No.)

Age 28 Years for JRF & 32 Years for SRF.

@ 12,000/- +HRA for JRF/Project Fellow
@14,000 +HRA

First class Master degree in Forestry/ Botany/Environmental Science/PG Diploma in Forest Management.

Experience of work on forest ecology and forest ecosystem services in the Indian Himalayan region.

Candidates will have to work in remote forests of Himalayan region.
